Development of the burnout (boiling crisis) in the degassed water
This movie shows the burnout (boiling crisis) evolution in the degassed water. In this case the burnout appears when a liquid film evaporates under a vapor bubble. For this purpose, higher applied heating power is required because the fresh fluid may leak in within a wider range of heat flux densities.
