Slip flow

Rarefied gas flow with a mean free path of the molecules commensurate with the dimensions of the region in which the flow being studied occurs (the boundary layer thickness, pipe radius, etc.), when the gas can still be considered as a continuum, but the velocity of the gas on the surface of the solid body differs from the surface velocity of this body.
