Temperature recovery factor
A dimensionless number, defined by the identity
where
Taw is the adiabatic wall temperature,
T1 and
T01 are the temperature and the stagnation temperature, respectively in the external flow (in the case of external flow past a body) or the average bulk temperature and stagnation temperature in a given flow cross section (in the case of flow through a pipe).
