Professor Morgan Heikal heads up the Advanced Engineering Centre (AEC) based at the Sir Harry Ricardo Laboratories (SHRL) within the University of Brighton. This vibrant centre produces groundbreaking research into internal combustion engines and the development of laser-based diagnostic measurement techniques, which are fundamental to modelling and computational simulation.
Examples of his international involvement include his appointment as a Senior Visiting Professor at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, membership of the Scientific Council of the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT), chairing and organising international meetings, and giving keynote presentations.
